Friday the 13th

You know how people are. Friday the 13th is always a "crazy" day. You know the kind of crazy I mean. For our little family we had a fabulous day!

Our day was wonderful for several reasons. First of all we got to celebrate Paxton turning two months! I cannot believe how fast time is going. Our sweet baby is growing so fast.  In the last month he has changed so much! It is incredible how much a baby can develop in just a few short weeks. Paxton stays awake a lot more now and he is a lot more responsive. He lays under his mobile and follows the owls in the circle. He will hold on to his sassy links and shake them around. He coos and smiles so much. He is holding his head up and really getting pretty good control of his head.  He is just a sweet baby.

He's so sweet. Just love his little grins!

After we took these sweet pictures we ventured to see Josh's family that lives in Gainesville. They really enjoyed seeing Paxton. They couldn't believe how chunky he is. They loved seeing him and all the smiles.

Look at all those smiles!!

We had a great Friday the 13th. Did you?

Easter

Each Easter I reminded of God's faithfulness; death was conquered and cannot have a hold on me. God's faithfulness in my life sometimes gets overlooked. I'm guilty of not being thankful for his faithfulness. Maybe it's just me, but I often get caught up in life and don't give God the credit where he deserves it.

As Easter approached this year I became extra grateful. This year, not only am I thankful for my salvation, but for many other things. I'm reminded that death could not hold my savior down and that he is the risen king.

As I was spending time with my 1st-5th grade kids on Easter Sunday I got to see them in real, authentic worship. Hearing the kids sing, "You are the way the truth the life, we'll live by faith and not by sight, we're living all for you," brought me to this sweet place. Seeing kids worship our creator without holding back is something that words cannot describe. To see their faces as the story of Easter was told...it was incredible. I'm thankful I got to see God's faithfulness in his children.

This year was also Paxton's first Easter. Paxton is God's faithfulness. With Paxton also comes God's faithfulness in Josh's life. Without Josh there would be no Paxton. I'm so thankful that God brought Josh through his cancer so that we could share life and this family together. I'm overwhelmed with God's display of faithfulness in our lives this year. God gave Josh life when he was on his death bed. God gave us this child when all the doctors said it wouldn't happen. God is faithful.

As I'm writing this, tears of thankfulness and joy are flooding my cheeks. What an amazing God I serve! God is a faithful God! What a reason to celebrate!

This is my favorite picture of Easter!
We went on a walk after lunch. What a beautiful day it was!

Do you have a story of God's faithfulness? I'd love to hear it and celebrate with you! You can e-mail me (wwcollins@me.com) or post a comment on here!

Groceries

It's not an unknown fact that a family has to go to the grocery store. In fact,
most people go without giving it much thought because it's such a normal routine. That was me. Yes, was. Now it's more than just a buzz in and out thing. I have Paxton! He's just as sweet as can be and of course be draws all the attention....especially from the touchy kind.

Today we ventured to the store.... Just Paxton and I. So I put Paxton in the moby and off we went.

Why the moby? I really dislike taking Paxton places in the carseat. The car seat gets hot, he's strapped in, and not close to me. The biggest reason? People will touch him! People I don't even know! The moby keeps him close to me and no one tries to touch him!

So we get almost done and he starts crying! I'm not going to lie... Panic set in. I did not want everyone looking at us, you know how people are. I also knew he was hungry!!

So I went on over to subway and fed him. Big deal? Yes! This was the first time I nursed Paxton in public. After he was fine we went on our way.

We finished up shopping and checked out.

It's definitely not as easy to just buzz into the store now. We're making our own routine and doing what we need to do. Things are just done differently now. More time is needed but it doesn't matter when I have this sweet baby looking at me.

Paxton's Pictures

Since Paxton surprised us by being a month early, I had to figure out how to get his newborn pictures done at an earlier date than anticipated. Farrah got me scheduled in and did an amazing job with his pictures. Farrah Nicole Photography is absolutely amazing! You should check her out!

Meet Paxton. He's handsome! Look at that face!

Look at him on that little bed! And that adorable smile!

Pucker up! Look at those lips!
He's just precious!
Perfect picture for his room since it's in owls.
 Daddy's tie.
Gosh he is so adorable!

Didn't she do just a fantastic job! He did so good with his pictures and they turned out incredible!! Thanks Farrah!!
